What to Wear
Wear something comfortable that doesn’t restrict movement of your body. Yoga pants, shorts, tights, t-shirts, and tank tops are all good choices. You might want to bring a second layer, such as a long sleeved shirt or a hoodie, to wear at the beginning and end of class.
What to Bring
Bring your yoga mat, if you have one. If you don’t own a yoga mat, we do have spare mats available for you to use at the studio. It’s a good idea to bring some water with you as well. Yes, it is that easy – just a mat, some water and yourself!
What to Expect During Class
Our classes are 90 minutes long. The first 15 minutes or so of class is spent focusing on breath awareness, connecting with the body, and sitting for a few moments in quiet reflection and meditation. Our instructors then lead students through a series of seated, standing, and balancing postures. You can expect classes to include about an hour of these postures. Classes end with a final relaxation pose and more inner reflection and meditation. The sequence of postures may vary week to week as class designs are left to the creativity of our yoga teachers. Please see the class descriptions for more detailed information about specific classes.
