If at some point throughout your pregnancy you are admitted to the hospital for an extended period we can arrange massage therapy treatments there. This of course is assuming you and baby are both in a stable condition and that your healthcare provider has approved in hospital treatments. The hospital beds work well as an alternative to a massage table as the height is adjustable along with the angle of the head and foot rests.
For in hospital visits, you’ll need to:
- Ensure your healthcare providers (doctor/ midwife and nurses) have no objections to in hospital massage therapy visits
- Determine the times that you are allowed to have visitors and ensure your appointment is booked within those hours
- Be sure to inform your healthcare providers of when you have booked your massage
- Understand that your massage might be interrupted in order to allow nurses/ doctors to do their jobs
